DESCRIPTION
Mitigation planning is important to identify the hazards that affect your community and developing a strategy to mitigate those hazards. The DMA2K makes mitigation plans for state and local governments a requirement to become eligible for funding through the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP).
