Announcement of Initial Public Notice
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is required by law to provide public notice of its intent to provide federal assistance and grant opportunities through the Public Assistance (PA), Individual Assistance (IA), or Hazard Mitigation Grant (HMGP) programs.
The public notice is posted on the FEMA/South Carolina (DR-4346) Disaster web page: www.fema.gov/disaster/4346.
The public notice is also posted on the South Carolina Emergency Management Division website: www.scemd.org.
This initial public notice addresses the agency’s intention to reimburse eligible applicants for costs to repair or replace facilities damaged by Hurricane Irma in the State of South Carolina. The notice describes proposed activities that may affect historic properties and activities and critical actions that may affect wetlands and floodplains.
This may be the only public notice given regarding these FEMA actions. Questions should be directed to Dr. Stephanie Madson, Regional Environmental Officer at FEMA-R4EHP@fema.dhs.gov.
